Drawing our name from Canada’s national motto, A Mari Usque Ad Mare (From Sea to Sea), adMare is a pan-Canadian organization created in 2019, answering the need to align and optimize the Canadian life sciences commercialization landscape.

Since our creation, adMare has firmly established itself as a national leader that is knitting regions together and making a significant contribution to Canada’s life sciences ecosystem.

The 29 portfolio companies we’ve helped build have attracted more than $2.3B of risk capital. They employ close to 1,000 Canadians and have a combined value of $4B.

Bringing your innovations to life
We translate leading academic research into new companies. We work with scientists across the country to proactively identify innovative research and early technologies that have the strongest potential to be collaboratively translated into new therapeutic products and other novel health innovations around which we can co-create a new Canadian investable life sciences company.

Identifying opportunities
Our Program Development and Partnerships team proactively identifies therapeutic opportunities with commercial potential that have been discovered by Canadian researchers. Our primary focus is on novel and transformative pre-clinical technologies and platforms addressing unmet medical needs to which adMare can add significant value.

Developing & advancing technologies
Once we have identified differentiated early-stage technologies collaborate with the founding researchers to progress the discovery towards the next drug development milestone and investment readiness. adMare dedicates professional R&D scientists, state-of-the-art infrastructure, and commercialization experts to every collaboration. We commit to generating valuable data and IP, and to executing a viable commercial strategy that will be the foundations of a co-founded Canadian company.

Specialized, high-impact training programs
The adMare Academy offers the following unique and substantive programs.

Executive Institute
The Executive Institute is a custom-designed program focused on advancing leadership capacity amongst life sciences professionals in Canada. This program offers a unique opportunity to develop your leadership skills alongside other leaders in the industry and learn from their experiences specific to the Canadian life sciences ecosystem. By participating in the program, you will be joining an elite network of trainees and alumni leading innovation in life sciences across Canada.

BioInnovation Scientist Program
BioInnovation Scientist (BIS) Programs provide online training that empowers early-career professionals with the fundamental knowledge and skills they need to succeed in the Canadian life sciences industry.

Experiential Learning Programs
Fellowship and Undergraduate Programs offer research-intensive roles with hands-on bench work in adMare’s therapeutic development laboratories.

In addition to contributing to the development of therapeutic programs, participants’ on-the-job training is supplemented with learning and development initiatives to advance the understanding of the therapeutic development lifecycle and professional skills acquisition.

Biomanufacturing Training (CASTL)
The adMare Academy is the lead national partner for the Canadian Alliance for Skills and Training in Life Sciences (CASTL), working in close collaboration to build the talent urgently needed in Canada’s biopharmaceutical manufacturing sector.

CASTL is the exclusive provider in Canada of training curriculum licensed by the National Institute for Bioprocessing Research and Training (NIBRT), a world-class program for the biopharmaceutical manufacturing industry. In partnership with academia, industry, and governments, CASTL offers multiple applied learning streams and pathways for individuals to acquire hands-on technical training, theoretical knowledge, and professional skills.

adMare’s Innovation Centres offer essential services for life sciences and health technology companies. Professionally staffed with experienced teams, our analytical labs are available to meet clients’ requirements and specifications including:
