PIPELINE

STRAIT specializes in the installation, replacement, and repair of gathering systems and midstream pipelines. We offer turnkey pipeline construction and integrity services with experience in all types of pipelines: HDPE, steel, fiberglass, and composite. We have extensive, in-depth knowledge of the complexities of the Western Canadian geotechnical landscape. We understand what it takes to operate and excel in difficult and remote terrain from muskeg to mountains.

MECHANICAL

STRAIT has over 30 years of experience providing mechanical construction and maintenance support for a wide range of facility projects within the natural resource sector of Western Canada. By working with our clients from the planning phase, through construction to the final commissioning stage, we extend an integrated, consolidated approach to project development. This provides our clients with the resources, the processes and the constructability insight that leads to cost efficiencies and elevated budget surety for their projects.

FABRICATION

We operate high-capacity shop and yard facilities in Grande Prairie, Alberta & Fort St. John, British Columbia. Our ample yard space provides for safe access to work on multiple fabrication projects and module packages simultaneously. The strategic proximity to our industrial coating facilities provide for key logistical efficiencies. These facilities, along with our state-of-the-art CNC cutting and profiling machines, reduce costs to our clients through optimized production output while achieving best-in-class workmanship.

AUTOMATED PROCESSING

Strait’s manufacturing process includes the use of three custom built computer numerical control (CNC) cutting and profiling machines. These machines accelerate cut speed and increase accuracy and output quality. Structural steel components, piping and steel plate can be cut to our client’s specification with exact precision. The benefits of optimized production and higher quality cuts is passed on to our customer.
