Cafection’s founders, Mrs. and Mr. Yves Baron, made their debut in the office coffee service (OCS) and vending industry in 1979. Wishing to develop higher quality products and after more than 15 years in the industry, Yves Baron decided to sell his holdings in the coffee sector to devote himself with his son François (Frank) full time to manufacturing his own bean to cup coffee machines. Cafection as we know it today launches in 1996.
Throughout the years, Cafection has become a true leader in the industry, with over 80,000 units in Canada and the United States. Although greatly improved since our debuts, the success and popularity of our coffee machines still lie on our brewing system and its unequalled freshness in every cup.
Our bean to cup coffee machines serve around 2 billion fresh cups of coffee per year! More than 80% of the Fortune 500 relies on a Cafection brewer every morning.
More than 20 years and three product lines later, Cafection still strives to remain on top of the industry trends and be a front-runner in the market. In 2012, our company proudly launched the world first internet-connected and remotely manageable coffee machines and, in 2014, we introduced the largest brew group of the industry – another world first!
Cafection has been awarded for its exceptional business performances many times in the last years. The company is named “Company of the year” by the Quebec Chamber of Commerce and Industry in 2013, wins the “2014 Customer Service Award” from the Canadian Automatic Merchandising Association (CAMA) and is awarded two years in a row at the Prix PME Banque Nationale, in the “Exporting SEM” category in 2014 and “SEM 20 to 50 million” in 2015.
In July 2017, Cafection became member of the Evoca Group, a first plan multinational enterprise in the out of home coffee machine, offering a full range of coffee machines and payment solutions for vending markets. The Evoca Group counts more than 2 000 employees and 10 000 clients in over 140 countries. With its head office located in Valbrembo, Italy, the group is present internationally with 8 production sites, 6 R&D centers, more than 600 patents and gross sales exceeding 500 millions euros.

We have manufactured a top quality coffee machine that is eco-friendly and socially responsible. The coffee grounds and spent filter paper is 100% biodegradable and compostable. It is one of the reasons our brewers are used by some of the largest companies in the world.
Using only biodegradable supplies, Cafection’s full line of coffee brewers helps organizations reach their sustainability objectives by effectively reducing the enormous amounts of waste currently produced by coffee consumption.
Moreover, many of our initiatives such as the Refurbishing Program allow us to reduce our ecological footprint on the planet. Indeed, Cafection’s coffee machines are designed to have a long life but ALSO to be refurbished rather than replaced.
Lastly, Cafection’s Sophia also participates in taking concrete actions to protect the environment, by decreasing the energy consumption with its Energy Saving mode and reducing the use of transportation and greenhouse gas emissions.
